not sure how to center hmmMovies:

I try to watch movies often, i think they're an amazing to consume media and still connect with the arts. Many say cinema is dying and everyone needs to go to the teather to watch every new movie, i just enjoy watching movies in my room, though when people ask if i want to go to the cinema i of course say yes. Anyways, they're short and most of the time amazing. They're not time consuming but they still let you see life through another perspective, i might just enjoy them more than books.

the zone of interest

When this movie ended, i was a little underwhelmed if i'm honest. Most movies about the holocaust show the horrible and bloody side of it, they show massacre and the bland dehumanisation of jewish communities. That's what happened so normally that's how the story should be told. I suppose that's why I was shocked that this movie didn't show any violence and hardly mentioned what was actually happening beyond the wall. A nazi family living so peacefully near a horrid and deathly place seems wrong, and that's because obviously it is. I didn't like this movie because I didn't think it was interesting. I frankly do not care about nazi families. I can admit that movies about their point of view of jewish people like ''Jojo Rabbit'' interest me way more than knowing what they do in the summertime. Glazer tried to make evil look bland and he tried to show us that everyone can look normal and be evil, but I don't care about that. Whatever you want to depict Nazis as, whether you want to show that they had a human side or that they lived like normal families, isn't interesting. So much happened during world war two that is actually worth mentioning: the holocaust, the soldiers, veterans, atomic bombs, propaganda. But what nazi families were like is not one of them. You cannot talk about evil without showing evil.

pride and prejudice

I come back to this movie at least once every few months, though I obviously think about Jane Austen everyday. Some would say I have quite an obsession with this woman, for I mention her in almost every conversation. Dare i say i've mentioned her while meeting people for the first time, when drunk, when sleepy, in class and too pretty much anyone who would care to listen. There is something about her that is so grand, but this movie especially. For me, it's the simple love story I never get sick of. Even after reading the book, reading the version with zombies, rewatching the movie, watching the show, one never gets sick of it. From the music to the scenery, there is something enthralling that cannot be described. Every frame captures a certain beauty, it is calm yet lovely. As it is a movie taking place at the start of the 1800s, there are beautiful houses and great natures to be observed, the costumes too are not to be forgotten. Long dresses and extravagant hairstyles makes it feel as if it really were another century. Honestly, this movie might not be for everyone, seeing as some people have a hard time finding joy in watching a movie about love and yearning (though i cannot relate at all obviously), yet i think that if explained rightfully anyone could enjoy it. Sometimes certain details are missed or you don't understand the meaning behind certain scenes, which is why I also recommend reading the book (it's a fantastic book I swear). Anyways, i do not see what someone could not like about this movie, it has friendship and love, maybe some are just allergic to fun and lightheartedness.

love lies bleeding

Either I know nothing about love or those two girls weren't in love at all. They met and hung out for two days, maybe had a few good times sure, but it makes little sense that they would go through this who chabang for each other. I mean, it was good visually: actors, color grading, scenes and props, but the storyline was all over the place. Maybe if the movie was like 30 minutes longer than it would've been better, just to add clarification on certain stuff. I just think there was a lot to unpact and there didn't need to be, like the dad that eats bugs and has a passion for bugs? There were scenes where it was just him and his bugs, for what? Why? Is there any meaning to that? Or the fact that the main character wants to be a bodybuilder very badly at the start of the movie and then completely forgets about it halfway through. I don't know, i mean it was a good movie but i just think it should've been clearer and also some elements were just useless and made the experience of watching the movie confusing. But like also Kristen Stewart is just really hot in every movie but like especially that one, damn she looked really good. She also has a really cool and mysterious voice, which adds to her hotness.
